GEMSTONE PANTS - BY PRETZEL

HIIII!!! So I have added a blog to my website. I started to realised that I don't have anywhere to show my work. Well, sure, you can buy it, but I don't have a place for a proper portfolio, and as a growing artist, I think that's pretty important. So I started a blog that doubles as my portfolio and a way for people to get to know me as an artist.

Sooooo the first thing that I will talk about is my Gemstone Pants. I have a habit of painting some of my plain clothes or even intentionally buying clothes at a Thrift store to give them a second life. I believe clothes should be a form of expression, so why not go crazy? I saw these black pants and was immediately inspired. Although they're a pain to paint on, they make my colours so vibrant and bright. I was inspired by those jeans that have, like, printed chains on them and the Ariana Grande Summer-Spring Swarovski campaign 2025, so I wanted to combine those ideas.

This also tripled as a university assignment and half of my outfit for a concert. I went to a Jason Derulo concert the other day. I wouldn't say I am an avid Jason Derulo fan, but his concert was a good time, and I definitely like some of his older songs. (Naturally, I have a photo of my outfit; the theme was silver.)

I am thinking about starting a series where I paint one-of-a-kind designs on clothing items and sell them on my website. I have already bought some clothes from the thrift store, but I really haven't had the time to get started on them- painting-wise. I'm still formulating the concepts, and I'd love to hear your thoughts!
